Magnus gets no jobs, drinks too much and his financial situation is beyond hopeless. Because of his lack of self-awareness he continues his egocentric and shallow way of life as a commercial director - until his feckless father dies of over drinking in southern Spain. The past is finally catching up when his overbearing little brother Emil wants Magnus to come along to Spain to pick up the body of their late father. Magnus parted with the family a long time ago but decides to go anyway, because he secretly wants the father's vintage Rolex watch, which is worth a small fortune. When in Spain, the transportation of the body turns out to be way too expensive, so Magnus decides in desperation to solve it the cheapest way possible - "we goddamn drive him our self!". On the trip through southern Europe with a dead father in a roof box on a tiny SmartCar Magnus is forced to deal with his brother and the family he turned his back on.

The film starts out with a young taxi driver who runs into his drunken father at a horse race. They go back to the younger man’s apartment where his girlfriend is wandering around butt-naked, and the father attacks her. Later the taxi driver and the girlfriend go to a swank party, and while he makes it with an attractive blonde in a back room, his girlfriend ends up running into her younger, rather homely but free-spirited sister who is the star of a Warholesque “art” film showing at the party. After a bizarre family reunion/birthday party, the older sister/girlfriend takes off for Copenhagen, while the younger sister pursues a nude modelling career with her much more attractive friend (Christina Lindberg). She also tries to seduce her sister’s philandering boyfriend (the taxi driver), but he is much more interested in the Lindberg character, doing her on her living room couch while her own oblivious (or apathetic) boyfriend is passed out a few feet away. The focus then shifts to the Lindberg character who it turns out is being abused by her boyfriend (he screws her in a stable and makes her do housework in the nude for some reason). There’s also a “McGuffin” involving a shipment of drugs hidden in a fur coat which eventually results somehow in all three of the leading actresses doing a bottomless can-can dance…
