Hollywood 1950: The successful producer Larry O'Brian arrives in Los Angeles to found a motion picture company. He buys an old studio which was unused since the days of silent movies. He's shown the office where the famous director Franklin Farrara was shot. The case hasn't been solved until now, although there were many suspects. O'Brian becomes fascinated by the subject and wants to shoot a movie about it. He investigates himself and soon gets into danger himself.

A Gujarati language romantic film, Band Baaja Babuchak revolves around four guys- Bako, Pako, Chako, and Bahilu. They are dreamers and believe in making easy and quick money. One day, they come across an advertisement about an NRI girl, Simran, whose multi-millionaire father is looking for a groom for his only daughter. All the four guys try all their tricks to impress the girl; and after a few twists & turns Simran starts liking not only one but all of them. Who she will finally choose as her life partner forms the crux of the film.

Anthony Dexter---bare-chested most of the film with the smoldering nostrils from "Valentino"---as "Captain Kidd" is saved from hanging by an Earl who wants to get his hand on Kidd's treasure. The Earl thinks the best method is to put a woman confederate (Jeanine Duvall) aboard Kidd's ship as a slave girl to wrest or wrestle the information from him. They fight a lot as a prelude to falling in love, and then work together against the evil Earl's none-too-well laid plan. Alan Hale, Jr. (Simpson) is along as Kidd's trusted friend, while Sonia Sorrell (as Ann Bonney) displays a lot of what the best-undressed female pirate wasn't wearing on pirate ships of the time.

In Unter der Laterne, the girl Else begins to follow the wrong path after an altercation with her father. The high life turns out to be the first step in a downward spiral.
