On business trip in Milan, Bavarian architect Max Hauser falls in love with strong-willed waitress Bianca, who is fired for speaking up to his rude colleagues. The host Vibaldo is also confronted by his creditors, who loose patience on restoration back-payments, but Max's architectural skills throw new light on the legend of the palace's treasure.
