Johnny Victor is in love with an international businessman, Louis Galt, who is actually the head of a syndicate that mints illegal coins for the Continental market. But she soon learns that Galt has been deceiving her and has no intentions of divorcing his wife. So she meets Pierre Clemont, a potter, and falls for him (onscreen and off). Into this little slice of life comes Emil Landosh, a confidence man, and he steals a bracelet that Galt had given Victor and uses it to pay a debt. Enter a twist-of-fate (the US title that describes the film a lot better than the UK title, which is not unusual for films going from America to England but seldom vice-versa), and it ends up in Galt's hands. Strained credibility aside since many, many films depend on beating the coincidental odds, Galt assumes that Landosh is Victor's lover, and this isn't a good assumption on his part since Landosh kills him and then makes it appear as if Victor and Clermont did the deed.

Hilltop Hospital is a claymation children's television programme made in 1999. It consists of 52 ten-minute shorts. The series is directed by Pascal Le Nô(🔭)tre and produced in English, French (Hôpital Hilltop), German (Klinik Hügelheim) and Dutch (Heuvellandziekenhuis). The series is adapted from a series of books by Nicholas Allan of the same name. ZDF started broadcasting the shorts in 2003. The theme tune and incidental music for the English version of the series was composed by Ben Heneghan and Ian Lawson who also composed the music for the original Fireman Sam series and Joshua Jones.
