Two misfits - Marcy and petty thief Seth meet shop-lifting in their upstate New York hometown. Marcy wants to get a hold of some particular Barbie doll and they take off to Toronto searching for it. Marcy needs pills to take care of her muscle spasms and one of the pharmacists, thinking she is a junkie, shoots her in a leg. They are picked up by lonely widower Walter, who is kind to them.

Morse and Lewis find themselves in Vicenza, Italy looking into the death of May Lawrence who was killed while attending a psychotherapy clinic there. The clinic is run by Russell Clark, a convicted fraudster who is well known to Morse and the British authorities. Morse is particularly enjoying the trip, all the more so when he learns that one of the patients at the clinic is Nicole Burgess, a well-known opera singer. What Morse learns suggests fraud in the selling of counterfeit rare manuscripts but the culprits are anything but obvious. As well, the link to May Lawrence's death remains elusive.

我用了一年半的时间(🔉)独立制作(zuò )了一个12分钟长的动画短片，在这个虚拟(nǐ )的失控(💄)空间内，不同照面的自我表演了(le )一个关于内在的灵魂幕剧。作为内心(🍩)世界(👀)控制者的男人女人，和作(🍨)为内心世界被控制(📤)者的小孩，分别扮演(👁)了(🔪)控制，被(bèi )控，失控，反(fǎn )控等种种角色。THE FALL的故事其实是一个个体(🔷)内心中的控制者和被控制者之间(jiān )的对话，争斗，碰撞和这些事情导致之后的迷失，失(shī )控和坠落。三个自我之间失(🎥)控着坠落，坠落(🐢)着争执，争执(zhí(📨) )着迷失，迷失着(🕺)生长。而手作为更高一级的控制者引导了整(zhěng )个事件的发生(shēng )，而最后小孩进入(rù )手(🥑)中反控了这一(🦀)失控的环境。我试(🔀)图借助这么一个抽象(xiàng )的故事来传达我内心深处的”fall"的感受，因为“the fall" 只在(🐗)命运之间(jiān )。 在技术上，我是一部分用色粉手绘一帧一帧的画出的，一部分(fèn )是背景和(hé )人物分(fèn )离(lí )开来，有点类似于剪纸的(🎠)动画，再用电脑合成。整个动画耗费了一年半(🐻)的时间，我试图让图(tú )像动起来，让两条时空(kōng )线(🐖)索中的自我相遇、发现、纠缠或互相吞噬，来传达我内心之后的种种(🚛)缜密的思考，哲学性的沉思(📈)，克制而又(👹)迷失的(de )思考(🌾)。我试图让绘画参与(🐥)到影像中去(🏾)，参与到光怪陆(lù )离的视觉性中去，而最终留下的是(shì )“失控(kòng )”之间的心理感受。

After 16 years' experience on stage, the actor and playwright Curt Goetz (1888-1960) made his debut as a film director and producer with the silent movie Friedrich Schiller - Eine Dichterjugend (1923). Writing razor sharp dialogue was his profession; acting comic parts in the theatre - without having to renounce speech - was his craft. And that is why the silent cinema presented such a special artistic challenge to Goetz, a task whose accomplishment was prompted by a difficult subject: the poet Friedrich Schiller's adolescence. An enthusiast of the spoken word makes a movie about the early life of a powerfully eloquent poet, but has to eschew the cadence of poetry. Under such circumstances, the artistic potential of a film director must prove itself.
