After Paul and Jenny part company with their sinister housekeeper Agatha, the disgruntled former employee gives a vintage doll called Robert to their son Gene. But nobody believes Gene when he claims Robert is to blame for the disturbances. Paul and Jenny consider the possibility that a supernatural force has taken over their home. The film stars Dulquer Salmaan in the lead role while Thilakan, Siddique, Nithya Menen, Mamukkoya and Lena Abhilash play supporting roles. Asif Ali and Jishnu appear in cameo roles in the film which is produced by Listin Stephen under the banner of Magic Frames and is distributed by Central Pictures.Ustad Hotel was one of the last films featuring Thilakan who died months after the release of the film.
