Amin stubbornly refuses to embrace modern civilization as his thinking is based on radical islamism. The director, Mostofa Sarwar Farooki, sees his stubbornness as not necessarily a bad thing: Sometimes it demonstrates the evils of extreme religious belief; at other times, it shows the fact that Amin is a feeble old man who loves his family. His series of actions to hold to his religious beliefs seems more like a theater of the absurd rather than a serious matter. is a satire film with a very unique style.
